Our Time Is Now—Their Future!

Join us this International Day of the Girl Child as we launch our groundbreaking SDLE Program in Minna, Niger State! 🚀 In line with the theme ‘Our Time Is Now—Our Rights, Our Future, we are excited to announce that the SDLE Program is now open for registration for interested Public and Private Junior and Secondary Schools in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. This dynamic 3-month initiative is on a mission to empower early adolescent girls aged 10-17 years from Junior and Senior Secondary School. We invite you to be part of this incredible journey, one that promises to shape a brighter and more promising future for young girls. It’s time to stand together, ignite change, and champion girls’ talents, education, rights and dreams. The TIME is NOW.

Application date: October 11th  2023 – November 1st, 2023.

This program will provide comprehensive training and access to essential skills on:
S– Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
D– Digital Rights, safety and Internet Privacy
L– Leadership for adolescent girls
E– Ending Discrimination Against Young Girls
Location: Minna, Niger State

Participation: 200 young adolescent girls will be selected from 4 selected schools in Minna, Niger State. Are you ready to empower young girls and make a lasting impact? Join us in the SDLE Program!

Project objective

Our program is meticulously designed, utilising a sustainable and long-term intervention model based on locally generated data and needs assessments. By participating in the SDLE Program, we aim to achieve the following: 
  • Educate girls about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  • Empower young girls with knowledge of their digital rights and protect them from online exploitation through online safety and privacy measures.
  • Equip them with contemporary digital skills, preparing them for the future workforce and economic independence.
  • Foster their desire for active participation in leadership roles.
  • Cultivate an unwavering self-belief through soft skills training.
  • Promote critical thinking, active interaction, team building, collaboration, and participation in various activities.
  • Combat discrimination by educating them on their human rights and preventing Gender-Based Violence.
  • Provide 3 months of counselling and support, peer-to-peer learning, mentorship, and access to Seedbuilders Safe Space.
