On October 15, 2025, Seedbuilders Skills Development Foundation celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with students and teachers of Government Day Secondary School, Duste, Abuja. The event was held under the theme “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Front Lines of Crisis.”
The program was designed to empower girls to see themselves as leaders and change-makers within their communities. Activities included keynote addresses, digital skills awareness sessions, and motivational talks focused on leadership, resilience, and self-confidence.
A major highlight of the event was a digital storytelling campaign, where participants shared their dreams, challenges, and future aspirations. This interactive session encouraged self-expression and amplified the voices of young girls.

In total, over 100 girls were directly impacted by the program, recording strong participation and engagement throughout the sessions. Teachers noted increased confidence, enthusiasm, and awareness of digital and leadership opportunities among the students.
By the end of the program, participants demonstrated increased confidence, awareness of digital opportunities, and a renewed commitment to personal growth and education.
The International Day of the Girl Child 2025 program successfully created a safe and inspiring platform for girls to learn, express themselves, and embrace leadership.
Seedbuilders Skills Development Foundation remains committed to advancing girl-child empowerment through education, digital inclusion, and youth-focused development initiatives.
