The Digital Uplift Program is an initiative of Seedbuilders Innovation HubSeedbuilders Skills Development Foundation with Total Child CBT Centre in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Educationthe National Board of Technical Education (NBTE)IDEAS Project and the World Bank.

 

The Digital Uplift Program is a FREE 3-month physical groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering Nigerian youths with the digital skills necessary to thrive in the global economy. This innovative program provides free, high-quality training in essential areas like Data Science, Front end development, Back-end development, Product Management, Design (UI/UX and Graphics Design) and Digital Marketing equipping young people to secure jobs, start businesses, or pursue careers in tech.

 

With the rapid advancement of technology, digital skills have become critical in today’s job market. The Digital Uplift Program is committed to bridging the digital divide by offering accessible, top-tier education to young Nigerians in Abuja, who may otherwise lack access to such resources. The program is structured to ensure that participants gain practical experience and market-relevant skills that make them competitive in the digital landscape.

 

What the Digital Uplift Program Offers:

  • Free Digital Skills Training
  • Soft Skills Bootcamp
  • Mentorship from industry experts to guide participants in building successful careers or launching their own businesses.

“We believe that the future of Africa’s youth lies in the digital economy, and through the Digital Uplift Program, we are creating opportunities for young people to harness their potential and transform their futures,” said Mr Olaoluwa Olorunnisomo, Project Leader of Digital Uplift Program. “Our goal is to empower over 600 Nigerian youths with the skills needed to thrive in today’s tech-driven world.”

Some of the eligible criteria for the application include:

  • Being resident in Abuja
  • Youth between the ages of 16-35 years old (Male, Female or others)
  • Have a valid NIN
  • Should have at least completed Secondary School Education.
  • Physically present for the training for 3 months and 3 months internships in Abuja

Strongly encouraged to register:

  • People Living with Disabilities
  • Young Girls and Women
  • Gender-Based Violence Survivors
  • Deportees, Trafficked and Internally Displaced Persons

 

How to Register

To join the Digital Uplift Program, prospective participants can visit the program’s official website at Digital Uplift Program to register. The Program started on November 4, 2024, however, we are still accepting applications.
